The heard Finally Integrated!

After about three weeks of our rescue standardbreds being boarded at our barn we finally decided it was time to let them in with our two. They did really well. Only one buck and that was due to Genna(Genesis) getting cornered while I was lunging and no one got hurt. Here are a few photos later on in the day when I was free lunging them in the pasture.

Hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I enjoyed watching them running together. it brings joy to my heart. Also is it ever easier to lunge with a full heard instead of a couple!

  1. Gorgeous horses! They remind me of the summer I was a hot walker at the racetrack in Victoria, BC. At that time the track was only used for training and then the horses went to Vancouver to run. My younger son was a toddler, so I only worked the summer, but I still have wonderful memories of the horses. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Nothing like watching horses run free, is there? ~ Linne

    • Definitely isnt other than them joining up with you after a lunge! The two standardbred rescues were rehomed after their owner dropped off the face of the planet and they were just adopted out yesterday to a wonderful home. We have our two horses and Shadow my cousins horse boarding at our barn.
